Luxury Sofas Made to Order in Britain
At M&H Living, Premium Sofas is a selected collection of our higher-priced sofa ranges with a broad choice of sizes and layouts. If you are shopping for luxury sofas handmade in Britain, this is the place to start, because every range here is a British-made design built to order at our Yorkshire workshop. Many of the ranges are available in several configurations, allowing you to keep the same design across different seating requirements.
We base the comparison on information you can check, including price, available configurations, published measurements and fabric choices. Premium describes where these ranges sit on price, while our affordable sofas cover the lower price band. The current entry price for each layout in this collection is shown below.
| Layout | Current from price | Compare designs |
|---|---|---|
| 1 seater | £499 | 1 Seater Sofas |
| 2 seater | £599 | 2 Seater Sofas |

These are starting prices at the time of writing. The product page always carries the live price for the size and fabric you select.
Fifteen ranges make up this luxury sofa collection:
- Majestic sofas, Oliver sofas and Scarlet sofas, the most high-end designs we make and the top of our price range
- Ambassador sofas, Charlotte sofas, Amelia sofas and Winston sofas
- Chelsea Line sofas and Oakley sofas
- Aaron sofas, Clara sofas, Romeo sofas and MH Theo sofas
- MH Luxury sofas and the buttoned MH Luxury Chesterfield sofas
The Westmere Home Cinema Sofa completes the line-up for media rooms. Each range page shows every size and layout of that design together. Matching pieces sit in the same collection too: footstools for Aaron, Amelia, Ambassador, Chelsea Line, Clara, MH Theo, Oliver and Winston, and coffee tables for Ambassador, Amelia, Majestic and MH Luxury Chesterfield.
Choose a Premium Sofa for Your Room
Start with the amount of seating and floor space you actually have. A 2 seater sofa can work well where floor space is limited, while a 3 seater sofa gives you a longer straight seating run.
For rooms where the layout matters as much as the number of seats, compare our luxury corner sofas with our L shape sofas. The two configurations use floor space differently, so choose from the measurements rather than the name alone. If you would rather arrange two pieces independently, a 3+2 sofa set lets the larger and smaller sofa face each other or sit at right angles.
Each product page gives the published measurements for that design. If you want to compare dimensions across the wider M&H catalogue, use our sofa size guide.
Check the Sofa Size Before You Order
Two sofas with the same seating description can have very different footprints. A three seater, for example, does not have one standard M&H length, so check the individual product measurements against the room before ordering.
Room fit and delivery access are separate checks. Measure the position where the sofa will stand, then measure the narrowest usable point on the route into the room, including doorways, hallways, stairs, landings and tight turns.
Published height and depth provide a useful first check, but they do not by themselves guarantee that a sofa will pass through every route. If access looks tight, send the sofa model and your route measurements through our contact page before ordering.
Choose the Sofa First, Then the Fabric
Fabric availability varies between sofa ranges. Across the M&H catalogue you will see Plush Velvet, Jumbo Cord, Chenille, Conistan, Naple and Teddy/Bouclé, but not every premium sofa is offered in every fabric. Plush Velvet runs through most of this collection, so our luxury velvet sofas page is a useful shortcut if velvet is already your choice. Teddy/Bouclé and Jumbo Cord give a more textured, designer finish.
Check the fabric selector on the individual product page for the options available on the sofa you are considering. Choosing a listed fabric or colour is a standard product option and does not by itself make the sofa bespoke.
Colour and texture can also look different under natural and artificial light. Order fabric swatches before buying if you want to compare the materials in the room where the sofa will sit.
Handmade to Order in Yorkshire
The premium sofas in this collection are made after the order is placed at our Yorkshire workshop. Our Bradford showroom at Thorite House is a separate location where customers can view M&H furniture before ordering, sit on the ranges and handle the fabrics in person.
Available sizes, fabrics, colours and configurations shown on a product page are standard options. For a different sofa length or a fabric outside the listed range, contact M&H before ordering to ask what is possible.
For cover after delivery, eligible sofas in every premium range come with a 10-year commercial warranty on the internal frame.
