What the M&H Clara looks like

The M&H Clara has arched arms, and a line of piping traces the arch across the front of each arm. Piping also runs along the edges of the seat and back cushions, the plump back cushions are topped with scatter cushions, and a deep plain base sits on short silver chrome feet. Together, these details help identify the M&H Clara among the different sofas sold under the Clara name.

Our Amelia sofas come in the same listed sizes and prices but have slim arms, dark contrast piping and tapered black legs, so they give you a different look.

Clara sizes, layouts and prices

The straight Clara sofas, the 3+2 set and the Corner are listed at 90 cm deep and 80 cm high, and every Clara has a 45 cm seat height. The L Shape is listed at 150 cm deep, which is the depth of its chaise. Its product page does not give a separate depth for the main seating run, so call us if you need that figure before ordering.

As each M&H sofa is handmade, finished dimensions may vary slightly from the stated measurements as a result of normal manufacturing tolerances.

The straight sofas step up from 160 cm to 195 cm and 235 cm, and the 3+2 set gives you the 3 Seater and 2 Seater as two separate sofas. The Corner has two equal 235 cm sides, so there is no left or right hand to choose. The L Shape has the same 235 cm long side, but its chaise return is 150 cm, 85 cm shorter than the second side of the Corner.

You can order the L Shape Left Hand Facing or Right Hand Facing, and Left Hand Facing puts the chaise on your left as you stand facing the sofa. It costs £1,399 on its own or £1,749 with a matching footstool. The Clara Foot Stool is also sold on its own at £349.99. Six fabrics, 54 colours and free swatches

Every Clara comes in Plush Velvet, Teddy/Bouclé, Jumbo Cord, Chenille, Naple or Conistan, and across those six fabrics the range is available in 54 colours. On the Clara product pages, Plush Velvet is labelled a pet-friendly weave.

Colour and texture can look different under your own lighting, so order free fabric swatches and compare them where the sofa will sit, in daylight and in the evening.

Ordering and delivering your Clara

Every Clara is handmade to order at our Yorkshire workshop, and all six layouts currently have a lead time of 21 to 25 days. Delivery is free across mainland UK. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and offshore islands may have limited availability, longer timeframes or extra conditions.

Before you order, measure the delivery route at its narrowest points, including doorways, hallways, stairs, landings, lifts and any tight turns, and measure the usable clear opening of each doorway with the door fully open. If access looks close, send us the Clara layout and your route measurements.

The sizes, fabrics and colours you can select on each product page are the standard Clara options. For a different length or a fabric outside the range, contact us before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.
