The M&H Oliver is our own sofa range, with a grid-tufted seat and front panel, buttoned back cushions, channelled arm tops, gold-coloured trim on the arm fronts and gold-coloured block feet. It comes as a 1, 2, 3 or 4 seater, a 3+2 set, an L shape and an equal-sided corner sofa, from £700, each in six fabrics and 54 colours, with a 21 to 25 day lead time.

What the M&H Oliver looks like

The M&H Oliver has a grid-tufted seat and front panel, buttoned back cushions and channelled arm tops. Gold-coloured trim runs across the arm fronts, and the sofa sits on gold-coloured block feet. The same details carry across all seven layouts.

Choose the Oliver 1 Seater, 2 Seater, 3 Seater or 4 Seater for one straight run of seating, the 3+2 set for two separate sofas, or the L Shape or Corner Sofa for seating that turns a corner.

Oliver sizes and prices

Every Oliver is 80 cm high with a 45 cm seat height. The straight sofas, the 3+2 set and the Corner are all 90 cm deep, so the main size difference is length or footprint.

As each M&H sofa is handmade, finished dimensions may vary slightly from the stated measurements as a result of normal manufacturing tolerances.

The 3+2 set is two sofas you can place wherever suits the room, so plan the 200 cm and 165 cm pieces separately.

Straight sofa, 3+2, L shape or corner

The 1 to 4 Seaters each take one straight run of wall, from 110 cm up to 240 cm. The 3+2 set gives you a 200 cm and a 165 cm sofa that you can face each other, set at right angles or place on separate walls.

The L Shape covers 250 × 150 cm, with one longer run and a chaise. The Corner has two equal 240 cm sides, so both walls need the same length.

Choose the Oliver L shape side and footstool

You can order the Oliver L Shape Left Hand Facing or Right Hand Facing. Left Hand Facing puts the chaise on your left as you stand facing the sofa.

The L Shape costs £1,599 on its own or £1,949 with the matching footstool. If you add the footstool, leave extra floor space for it when you plan the room.

Fabrics, 54 colours and free swatches

Every Oliver comes in Plush Velvet, Teddy/Bouclé, Jumbo Cord, Chenille, Naple or Conistan, across 54 colours. You can also browse our jumbo cord sofas if Jumbo Cord is the fabric you want to compare.

Colour and texture look different under your own lighting, so order free fabric swatches and compare them where the sofa will sit.

Measure the room and delivery route

Mark the footprint where the sofa will sit, then check it against doors, radiators, other furniture and the paths people take through the room.

Next, measure the delivery route at its narrowest points, including doorways, hallways, stairs, landings, lifts and any tight turns. Measure a doorway with the door fully open.

Made to order in Yorkshire

Every Oliver is handmade to order at our Yorkshire workshop. All seven layouts currently have a lead time of 21 to 25 days, and delivery to mainland UK is free.

Is an Oliver couch the same as an Oliver sofa?

Yes. Oliver couch and Oliver sofa mean the same M&H Oliver range, with its grid-tufted seat, buttoned back cushions and gold-coloured trim and feet. Other retailers use the Oliver name for unrelated designs.

Is there an Oliver armchair or sofa bed?

No. The 110 cm Oliver 1 Seater is the single-seat option, and the current range does not include a sofa bed.

Should I choose the Oliver 3 seater or 4 seater?

Both are 90 cm deep and 80 cm high with a 45 cm seat height, so the difference is length. The 3 Seater is 200 cm and the 4 Seater is 240 cm, so measure the wall and leave room to walk past either end.

Can I order an Oliver in a different length or fabric?

The sizes, fabrics and colours you can select on each product page are the standard Oliver options. For a different length or a fabric outside the range, contact us before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.

Can I see an Oliver sofa before ordering?

Our Bradford showroom is open 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 6pm at weekends. Display stock can vary, so call us before travelling to check which Oliver layouts are on display.

What warranty applies to an Oliver sofa?

Eligible Oliver sofas include M&H Living's 10-year commercial warranty on the internal frame, subject to the warranty terms and claim assessment. An accepted claim covers the affected part rather than automatically replacing the whole sofa.

Where do you deliver, and will an Oliver get through my door?

Delivery is free across mainland UK. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and offshore islands may have limited availability, longer timeframes or extra conditions. The straight Oliver sofas are 90 cm deep and 80 cm high, so check those figures against the narrowest doorway, hallway and stair turn on the way in, and contact us before ordering if the route looks tight.
