What the M&H Winston looks like

The M&H Winston has broad, rounded arms with flat tops, panel stitching on the outer side and a gold-coloured accent strip. Vertical channel stitching runs along the front of the base, the back cushions are loose and plain, the seat cushions are plain, and the sofa sits on low black feet. Together, these details help identify the M&H Winston among the different sofas sold under the Winston name.

The same look carries across all seven layouts, from the 110 cm Winston 1 Seater to the Winston Corner Sofa.

Winston sizes, layouts and prices

The straight Winston sofas, the 3+2 set and the Corner are listed at 90 cm deep and 80 cm high, and every Winston has a 45 cm seat height. The L Shape is listed at 150 cm deep, which is the depth of its chaise. Its product page does not give a separate depth for the main seating run, so call us if you need that figure before ordering.

As each M&H sofa is handmade, finished dimensions may vary slightly from the stated measurements as a result of normal manufacturing tolerances.

The straight sofas run 110, 165, 200 and 240 cm, and the 3+2 set gives you the 3 Seater and 2 Seater as two separate sofas. The Corner has two equal 240 cm sides, so there is no left or right hand to choose. The L Shape has a 250 cm long side and a 150 cm chaise return, and you can order it Left Hand Facing or Right Hand Facing. Left Hand Facing puts the chaise on your left as you stand facing the sofa.

Four fabrics, 44 colours and free swatches

Every Winston comes in Plush Velvet, Chenille, Naple or Conistan, and across those four fabrics the range is available in 44 colours. On the Winston product pages, Plush Velvet is labelled a pet-friendly weave.

Colour and texture can look different under your own lighting, so order free fabric swatches and compare them where the sofa will sit, in daylight and in the evening.

How the Winston differs from the Aaron

Our Aaron sofas share the Winston's 165, 200 and 240 cm straight lengths and its 250 × 150 cm L Shape, so the clearest difference is the look. The Aaron has square arms with nailhead trim, while the Winston has broad rounded arms with a gold-coloured accent and a channel-stitched base.

The Winston also comes as a 1 Seater, which the Aaron does not. The Aaron is offered in six fabrics, including Teddy/Bouclé and Jumbo Cord, while the Winston is offered in four.

Ordering and delivering your Winston

Every Winston is handmade to order at our Yorkshire workshop, and all seven layouts currently have a lead time of 21 to 25 days. Delivery to mainland UK is free.

Before you order, measure the delivery route at its narrowest points, including doorways, hallways, stairs, landings, lifts and any tight turns, and measure the usable clear opening of each doorway with the door fully open. The sizes, fabrics and colours you can select on each product page are the standard Winston options. For a different length or a fabric outside the range, contact us before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.
