What the MH Lily looks like

The MH Lily has wide, rounded arms with vertical channel tufting running over the top and down the outer side, finished with plain rounded arm fronts. The same channels run along the base rail at the front, while the back and seat cushions are left plain. The sofa sits low on small, barely visible feet, and together these details set the M&H Lily apart from other sofas sold under the Lily name.

Choose the MH Lily 1 Seater, Loveseat, 2 Seater or 3 Seater for one straight run of seating, the 3+2 set for two separate sofas, the L Shape or Corner Sofa for seating that turns a corner, or the U Shape or Convertible U Shape for seating on three sides.

MH Lily sizes and prices

The listed overall depth is 90 cm across the range, with an overall height of 85 cm, a 65 cm arm height and a 45 cm seat height. The L Shape, Corner and U Shapes have the larger footprints shown below.

As each M&H sofa is handmade, finished dimensions may vary slightly from the stated measurements as a result of normal manufacturing tolerances.

Straight sofa, 3+2, L shape or corner

The straight MH Lily sofas run 110, 130, 170 and 200 cm, from the 1 Seater through the Loveseat to the 3 Seater. The 3+2 set combines the 200 cm 3 Seater and 170 cm 2 Seater as two separate sofas, so you can place them opposite each other, at right angles or on separate walls.

The L Shape has a 250 × 170 cm footprint, with one longer run and a chaise. You can order it Left Hand Facing or Right Hand Facing, and Left Hand Facing puts the chaise on your left as you stand facing the sofa. The Corner Sofa has two equal 240 cm sides, so there is no left or right hand to choose.

The U Shape and Convertible U Shape both measure 160 × 280 × 160 cm, wrapping seating around three sides of the room.

Measure the room and delivery route

Mark the footprint where the sofa will sit, then check it against doors, radiators, other furniture and the paths people take through the room.

Next, measure the delivery route at its narrowest points, including doorways, hallways, stairs, landings, lifts and any tight turns. Measure the usable clear opening of each doorway with the door fully open.

Fabrics, 44 colours and free swatches

Every MH Lily comes in Plush Velvet, Chenille, Naple or Conistan, and across those four fabrics the range is available in 44 colours. Jumbo Cord and Teddy/Bouclé are not offered on the Lily. If a cat or dog will share the sofa, Plush Velvet is the Lily fabric we list as a pet-friendly weave.

Colour and texture can look different under your own lighting, so order free fabric swatches and compare them where the sofa will sit, in daylight and in the evening.

Made to order in Yorkshire

Every MH Lily is handmade to order at our Yorkshire workshop, so we start making your sofa after you place your order with your chosen layout, fabric and colour. Delivery to mainland UK is free, and each product page shows the current lead time.
