What the MH Serenity looks like

The MH Serenity has plain upholstery with no buttoning or tufting. Its rolled arms sit lower than the back, the seat cushions are finished with piping and the back cushions have a soft, loose look, while tapered dark wooden legs lift the sofa off the floor. Together, these details help identify the M&H Serenity among the different sofas sold under the Serenity name.

Choose the MH Serenity 2 Seater or 3 Seater for one straight run of seating, the 3+2 set for two separate sofas, or the L Shape or Corner Sofa for seating that turns a corner.

MH Serenity sizes and prices

Every MH Serenity is listed at 85 cm high and 90 cm deep with a 45 cm seat height, and the straight sofas have a 65 cm arm height. The L Shape and Corner use the two-direction footprints shown below.

As each M&H sofa is handmade, finished dimensions may vary slightly from the stated measurements as a result of normal manufacturing tolerances.

Straight sofa, 3+2, L shape or corner

The two straight MH Serenity sofas are 165 cm and 200 cm long. The 3+2 set combines the 200 cm 3 Seater and 165 cm 2 Seater as two separate sofas, so you can place them opposite each other, at right angles or on separate walls.

The L Shape has a 250 × 170 cm footprint, with one longer run and a chaise. You can order it Left Hand Facing or Right Hand Facing, and Left Hand Facing puts the chaise on your left as you stand facing the sofa. The Corner Sofa has two equal 245 cm sides, so there is no left or right hand to choose.

Measure the room and delivery route

Mark the footprint where the sofa will sit, then check it against doors, radiators, other furniture and the paths people take through the room.

Next, measure the delivery route at its narrowest points, including doorways, hallways, stairs, landings, lifts and any tight turns. Measure the usable clear opening of each doorway with the door fully open.

Six fabrics, 54 colours and free swatches

Every MH Serenity comes in Plush Velvet, Teddy/Bouclé, Jumbo Cord, Chenille, Naple or Conistan, and across those six fabrics the range is available in 54 colours. If a cat or dog will share the sofa, Plush Velvet is the Serenity fabric we list as a pet-friendly weave.

Colour and texture can look different under your own lighting, so order free fabric swatches and compare them where the sofa will sit, in daylight and in the evening.

Made to order in Yorkshire

Every MH Serenity is handmade to order at our Yorkshire workshop, so we start making your sofa after you place your order with your chosen layout, fabric and colour. Each product shows its current lead time.

Delivery is free across mainland UK. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and offshore islands may have limited availability, longer timeframes or extra conditions.

The sizes, fabrics and colours you can select on each product page are the standard MH Serenity options. For a different length or a fabric outside the range, contact us before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.
