What the M&H Monroe looks like

The M&H Monroe has vertical channel tufting across the back, crisp square track arms and plain seat cushions, raised on tapered black legs with gold-coloured tips. The tailored lines and slim raised legs give the range its retro-modern look, and set the M&H Monroe apart from other sofas sold under the Monroe name.

Choose the Monroe Loveseat, 2 Seater, 3 Seater or 4 Seater for one straight run of seating, the 3+2 set for two separate sofas, or the L Shape, Convertible L Shape or Corner Sofa for seating that turns a corner.

Monroe sizes and prices

Every Monroe is 80 cm deep, with a 75 cm overall height and a 45 cm seat height. That slim depth is the range's defining measurement, 10 cm shallower than most of our sofas, which leaves more room in front for a coffee table or walkway.

Straight sofa, 3+2, L shape or corner

The straight Monroe sofas run 115, 145, 185 and 205 cm, from the Loveseat to the 4 Seater. The 3+2 set combines the 185 cm 3 Seater and 145 cm 2 Seater as two separate sofas, so you can place them opposite each other, at right angles or on separate walls.

The L Shape has a 235 × 150 cm footprint, with one longer run and a chaise. You choose Left Hand Facing or Right Hand Facing on the product page, and Left Hand Facing puts the chaise on your left as you stand facing the sofa. The Convertible L Shape adds a matching footstool that can sit beside the chaise for a wider lounging area. The Corner Sofa has two equal 235 cm sides, giving it a balanced layout across both adjoining walls.

Measure the room and delivery route

Mark the footprint where the sofa will sit, then check it against doors, radiators, other furniture and the paths people take through the room. The raised legs keep the floor visible underneath, which helps a Monroe feel lighter in a smaller room.

Four fabrics and free swatches

Every Monroe comes in Plush Velvet, Chenille, Naple or Conistan. Plush Velvet catches the light along each channel and is the Monroe fabric we list as a pet-friendly weave, tight-woven and easy to brush clean, while Naple and Conistan keep the channels crisp and matt.

Colour and texture can look different under your own lighting, so order free fabric swatches and compare them where the sofa will sit, in daylight and in the evening.

Made to order in Yorkshire

Every Monroe is handmade to order at our Yorkshire workshop, so we start making your sofa after you place your order with your chosen layout, fabric and colour. Delivery to mainland UK is free, and each product page shows the current lead time.

The sizes, fabrics and colours you can select on each product page are the standard Monroe options. For a different length or a fabric outside the range, contact us before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.
