The M&H Charlotte is our biscuit-tufted sofa range, with square tufting on the back and outer arms, a gold-coloured trim line on the arms and angled gold-coloured legs. At 80 cm deep, it suits narrower rooms. It comes as a 1, 2, 3 or 4 seater, a 3+2 set, an L shape and an equal-sided corner sofa, from £549.99. Each is available in four fabrics and 44 colours, with a 21 to 25 day lead time.

Charlotte Sofas
What the M&H Charlotte looks like
The M&H Charlotte has square biscuit-style tufting across the back. Its wide, squared track arms have plain tops, while the outer side of each arm is tufted too and edged with a thin gold-coloured trim line. The seat cushions and base are plain, and the sofa stands on angled gold-coloured metal legs.
Choose the Charlotte 1 Seater, 2 Seater, 3 Seater or 4 Seater for one straight run of seating, the 3+2 set for two separate sofas, or the L Shape or Corner Sofa for seating that turns a corner.
Charlotte sizes and prices
Every Charlotte is 80 cm deep and 80 cm high with a 45 cm seat height, so the main size difference is length or footprint.

As each M&H sofa is handmade, finished dimensions may vary slightly from the stated measurements as a result of normal manufacturing tolerances.
The 3+2 set is two sofas, a 200 cm 3 Seater and a 170 cm 2 Seater, so plan each piece separately.
An 80 cm deep sofa for narrower rooms
At 80 cm overall depth, the Charlotte projects 10 cm less into the room than most M&H ranges, which are 90 cm deep. Only the MH Theo matches that depth.
That extra space in front of the sofa helps in a narrow living room or where a walkway runs past it. The 80 cm figure is the overall depth of the sofa, measured from back to front.
Straight sofa, 3+2, L shape or corner
The straight Charlotte sofas run 120, 170, 200 and 240 cm. The 3+2 set gives you a 3 Seater and a 2 Seater that you can face each other, set at right angles or place on separate walls.
The L Shape has a 250 × 180 cm footprint, with one longer run and a chaise. You can order it Left Hand Facing or Right Hand Facing, and Left Hand Facing puts the chaise on your left as you stand facing the sofa. The Corner Sofa has an equal-sided 240 × 240 cm footprint.

Measure the room and delivery route
Mark the footprint where the sofa will sit, then check it against doors, radiators, other furniture and the paths people take through the room.
Next, measure the delivery route at its narrowest points, including doorways, hallways, stairs, landings, lifts and any tight turns. Measure each doorway with the door fully open.

Fabrics, 44 colours and free swatches
The Charlotte comes in four fabrics, Plush Velvet, Chenille, Naple and Conistan, with 44 colours across the range. Teddy/Bouclé and Jumbo Cord are not Charlotte options.
Colour and texture look different under your own lighting, so order free fabric swatches and compare them where the sofa will sit, in daylight and in the evening.
Made to order in Yorkshire
Every Charlotte is handmade to order at our Yorkshire workshop, so we start making your sofa after you place your order with your chosen layout, fabric and colour.
All seven layouts currently have a lead time of 21 to 25 days, and delivery to mainland UK is free.

Our Bradford showroom is open 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 6pm at weekends. It is separate from the Yorkshire workshop where the Charlotte is made.
Display stock can vary, so call us before travelling to check whether a Charlotte is currently on display.
Is there a Charlotte armchair or sofa bed?
No. The 120 cm Charlotte 1 Seater is the single-seat option, and the current range does not include a sofa bed.
Should I choose the Charlotte 3 seater or 4 seater?
Both are 80 cm deep and 80 cm high with a 45 cm seat height, so the difference is length. The 3 Seater is 200 cm and the 4 Seater is 240 cm, so measure the wall and leave room to walk past either end.
Are other Charlotte sofas the same design?
No. Several retailers use the Charlotte name for different sofas. Ours is handmade to order by M&H Living in Yorkshire, with biscuit tufting on the back and outer arms and angled gold-coloured legs.

Can I order a Charlotte in a different length or fabric?
The sizes, fabrics and colours you can select on each product page are the standard Charlotte options. For a different length or a fabric outside the range, contact us before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.
Where do you deliver, and will a Charlotte get through my door?
Delivery is free across mainland UK. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and offshore islands may have limited availability, longer timeframes or extra conditions. The straight Charlotte sofas are 80 cm deep and 80 cm high, so check those figures against the narrowest doorway, hallway and stair turn on the way in, and contact us before ordering if the route looks tight.
What warranty applies to a Charlotte sofa?
Eligible Charlotte sofas include M&H Living's 10-year commercial warranty on the internal frame, subject to the warranty terms and claim assessment. An accepted claim covers the affected part rather than automatically replacing the whole sofa.
