About this collection

Majestic sofas

What the M&H Majestic looks like

The M&H Majestic has vertical channel tufting across the back and wide, square arms that are channelled over the top and down the outer side. The long seat cushions are plain, with a slim dark plinth below. At each arm end, a gold-coloured metal frame outlines the arm front and continues along the floor like a sled.

Choose the Majestic 1 Seater, Loveseat, 2 Seater, 3 Seater or 4 Seater for one straight run of seating, the 3+2 set for two separate sofas, or the L Shape or Corner Sofa for seating that turns a corner.

Majestic sizes and prices

Every Majestic is 90 cm deep and 80 cm high with a 45 cm seat height. The 3 Seater and 4 Seater are longer than in most of our ranges, at 229 cm and 290 cm, where most of our 3 seaters are 200 cm and most 4 seaters 240 cm.

As each M&H sofa is handmade, finished dimensions may vary slightly from the stated measurements as a result of normal manufacturing tolerances.

Straight sofa, 3+2, L shape or corner

The straight Majestic sofas run 107, 168, 229 and 290 cm. The 3+2 set gives you the 229 cm 3 Seater and the 168 cm 2 Seater as two separate sofas, which you can face each other, set at right angles or place on separate walls.

The L Shape has a 290 × 160 cm footprint, with one long run and a chaise. You can order it Left Hand Facing or Right Hand Facing, and Left Hand Facing puts the chaise on your left as you stand facing the sofa. The Corner Sofa has an equal-sided 250 × 250 cm footprint.

If size matters more than the Majestic look, compare our other 1 seater, 2 seater, 3 seater and 4 seater sofas, or our L shape and corner sofas.

Measure the room and delivery route

Mark the footprint where the sofa will sit, then check it against doors, radiators, other furniture and the paths people take through the room. At 290 cm, the 4 Seater and the long side of the L Shape need 290 cm of clear floor space along their longest run.

Next, measure the delivery route at its narrowest points, including doorways, hallways, stairs, landings, lifts and any tight turns. A longer sofa needs more room to turn, so check the turns as well as the openings.

If access looks close, use our sofa size guide and send us the Majestic layout and your route measurements before ordering.

Fabrics, 54 colours and free swatches

Every Majestic comes in Plush Velvet, Teddy/Bouclé, Jumbo Cord, Chenille, Naple or Conistan, across 54 colours.

Colour and texture look different under your own lighting, so order free fabric swatches and compare them where the sofa will sit, in daylight and in the evening.

Collection FAQs

Before you order.

Who makes the Majestic sofas on this page?

We do. M&H Living handmakes every Majestic on this page to order at our Yorkshire workshop, and you can recognise it by the channel-tufted back, square channelled arms and gold-coloured frame legs.

Is there a Majestic armchair or sofa bed?

No. The 107 cm Majestic 1 Seater is the single-seat option, and the current range does not include a sofa bed.

Which Majestic suits a smaller room?

The 1 Seater at 107 cm and the Loveseat at 140 cm take the least wall space. Every Majestic is 90 cm deep, so allow for that depth in front of the wall as well.

Should I choose the Majestic 3 seater or 4 seater?

Both are 90 cm deep and 80 cm high with a 45 cm seat height, so the difference is length. The 3 Seater is 229 cm and the 4 Seater is 290 cm, 61 cm longer, so measure the wall and leave room to walk past either end.

Which Majestic fabric suits a home with pets?

Plush Velvet is the Majestic fabric we list as a pet-friendly weave. Order a free swatch to see it in your home before you choose.

Can I mix Majestic sizes in one room?

Yes. Every Majestic shares the same 80 cm height, 90 cm depth and 45 cm seat height, so a 3 Seater and a 2 Seater, for example, sit at the same height when placed together.

Can I order a Majestic in a different length or fabric?

The sizes, fabrics and colours you can select on each product page are the standard Majestic options. For a different length or a fabric outside the range, contact us before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.

What warranty applies to a Majestic sofa?

Eligible Majestic sofas include M&H Living's 10-year commercial warranty on the internal frame, subject to the warranty terms and claim assessment. An accepted claim covers the affected part rather than automatically replacing the whole sofa.

Where do you deliver, and will a Majestic get through my door?

Delivery is free across mainland UK. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and offshore islands may have limited availability, longer timeframes or extra conditions. The straight Majestic sofas are 90 cm deep and 80 cm high, so check those figures against the narrowest doorway, hallway and stair turn on the way in, and contact us before ordering if the route looks tight.
