The four straight Ambassador sofas give you progressively longer seating runs. The 3+2 set gives you two separate matching sofas, while the L Shape and Corner Sofa extend the seating in two directions and use the room differently.

Compare Ambassador Sofa Dimensions

Use the published measurements below to compare the seven Ambassador configurations. The table carries the dimensional detail so the range can be compared by actual footprint rather than seat-count or configuration name alone.

As each M&H sofa is handmade, finished dimensions may vary slightly from the published measurements as a result of normal manufacturing tolerances.

Overall sofa depth is not the same as usable seat depth. The 3+2 set also contains two independent sofas, so its two lengths should not be combined and treated as one continuous footprint.

Three Ways to Build a Larger Ambassador Layout

The 3+2 Set, L Shape and Corner Sofa solve three different room-planning problems. The 3+2 keeps the seating in two independent pieces, so each sofa can be positioned separately. The L Shape uses one longer side with a shorter return, while the Corner Sofa uses two equal runs.

None is automatically the better choice. Match the published footprints in the table to the wall lengths, doors and circulation space in the room before deciding.

Four Standard Ambassador Fabrics

Ambassador sofas are offered in four standard upholstery families: Plush Velvet, Chenille, Naple and Conistan. Current colour choices are shown on the individual Ambassador product page.

M&H does not currently publish complete technical specifications such as Martindale ratings, fibre composition or confirmed cleaning instructions across every Ambassador fabric. This page therefore does not describe the upholstery as stain resistant, pet friendly, washable or hard-wearing without supporting evidence.

A screen is not a fabric. If colour or texture matters in your room, order fabric swatches and compare them in the lighting where the sofa will actually sit.

Room Fit and Delivery Access Are Separate Checks

Start with the finished position and confirm that the selected Ambassador footprint works with the available walls, doors, radiators, other furniture and circulation space.

Then check the delivery route separately. Measure the narrowest usable doorway, hallway, staircase, landing, lift and any turn where the sofa may need to change direction.

Published finished dimensions do not provide a guaranteed minimum doorway opening. Packed dimensions, diagonal depth and confirmed detachable-component measurements are not currently published consistently for Ambassador, so they should not be estimated from the finished sofa measurements.

Made to Order Does Not Mean Bespoke

Ambassador sofas are manufactured after the order is placed, so the standard range is made to order.

Sizes, configurations, fabrics and colours already selectable on the website remain standard product options. Choosing one of those options does not automatically make the sofa bespoke.
